What is the Beast Mark?

Is the truth about the mark of the beast important? Ask different professing Christians and you will get a different answer from them. There are many people who are trying to find out the truth about the beast mark, but unfortunately they are looking in the wrong place. And yet many professing Christians are not even bothered about this important issue. Why? Because they have no interest in Bible prophecy and therefore don't know anything about the mark. Other than what the mainstream teaching is, that the mark of the beast is a microchip of some sort, or an ID card. But let me say from the very beginning that the mark CANNOT be a chip or ID card, or any other technology for that matter, and in this website I will show you why, and what the TRUE mark of the beast will be.

The mark of the beast will NOT be a chip or any technology device.

There are two beasts in Revelation 13. The "earth" beast is the one who enforces the mark, and the "sea" beast is the one who's mark it is. Take a look at America in Prophecy and you will find out who the earth beast is. Also, take a look at the Bible antichrist and you will see that there is undeniable proof showing that the sea beast is none other than the Papacy. So what is the mark? It must be the "mark" of the Roman Catholic Church.

Is the Mark of the Beast a Microchip?

Let's quickly look at this theory of the mark being a chip or some sort of technology. There is one big problem with this theory which most Christians miss. If the government forced upon you a chip or ID card or whatever, and yet you carried on serving God with all your heart and soul and kept His commandments. Would you have the mark of the beast and therefore be lost and cast into the lake of fire on the day of judgment? Of course not! How could God reject you for just receiving a chip or ID, even though you are still loving, obeying and serving Him? It's not possible. The only way to receive the mark would be to go against God and His Commandments, and follow the beast instead of God. This issue is all to do with WORSHIP.

Now could a chip or ID card be used by the beast system to keep track of people in the end times? Could this technology be used to stop those of us who refuse the mark of the beast from "buying and selling"? (Rev. 13:17) Yes! But in of itself, technology CANNOT, and I cannot stress this strong enough, CANNOT be the beasts mark that causes the undiluted wrath of God.

God is not concerned with material things. After all, He is a Spirit and is concerned with spiritual matters. He is concerned with how we worship Him, because He is seeking those who worship in spirit and truth. Please think very carefully about this issue, so that you will not be deceived like so many will be. Satan is the arch deceiver, and He is using all his spiritual powers to deceive the world into taking the mark of the beast. But how deceiving would it be to just enforce a microchip or card as the mark? Not deceiving at all. What does Revelation 13:14 say?

Revelation 13:14 ...'And he DECEIVED them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do.'

The real mark of the beast must be a spiritual mark that is received as a result of us going against God and His law. It cannot be a physical mark. Please understand this. Satan is going to deceive the world into accepting a law of the Roman Catholic beast, which will go against the law of our Creator God. Take a look at what the result of receiving this mark will be.

Revelation 14:9-10 ...'And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.'

Did you see what it said? The angel represents Gods messengers on earth, and they are saying that the mark of the beast is to do with WORSHIP! Anyone who "worships" the beast, by accepting its laws and traditions over the law of God will receive its mark. Therefore those who receive the beasts mark will be those who follow the beast (Roman Catholic Church), or its image (church-state union in America) instead of God. And they will be thrown into the lake of fire. The world has a choice to make in the last days, and the choice is to either obey God, or obey satan and his beast.

But the word "Mark" in Revelation 13 means a literal mark!

Yes, and so does the word "beast" in Revelation 13 mean a literal beast. And the "dragon" in Revelation 12 mean a literal dragon. And the "harlot woman" in Revelation 17, riding a "scarlet beast" means a literal prostitute woman riding a literal red beast. And so on...

Are we now to say that we will have literal beasts roaming the earth forcing the world to worship them? And a literal prostitute riding a beast, causing the world to follow her? No. Revelation is FULL of symbolic language. And just because the meaning of a certain word points to the literal thing itself. Doesn't mean it will be literal in real life. It's symbolic. Same applies to the mark of the beast.

God's Law and the Mark of the Beast

How do we know that receiving the mark of the beast is a result of going against God's law? ...Revelation 14:12 ...'Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.' ... Straight after the third angel warns of receiving the beast's mark, he announces that those who don't receive the mark are those who are KEEPING GODS COMMANDMENTS and the faith of Jesus. In other words, the true remnant church of God are those who follow in Jesus' footsteps, and what did Jesus say? ... John 15:10 ...'If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.' ... Are we not to follow Jesus? The sad thing is, the truth of God's law has been cast down by satan and many professing Christians are deceived into thinking that keeping God's Ten Commandments is not important.

Who is it that causes people to receive the mark of the beast? See america in prophecy for important information on this.

Now we know from Revelation 13 that the beast's mark is received either in the forehead or in the hand ... Revelation 13:16 ...'And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads.' ... There is also another set of people that have a mark on their foreheads ... Revelation 14:1 ...'And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.'

So during the last days we have two sets of people. One with the mark of the beast and one with God's name written on their foreheads. Now will these people be walking around with a literal mark on their foreheads, or the name of God actually written on their foreheads? I don't believe so, I believe these marks will be spiritual ones. Remember, the book of Revelation is full of symbolic language. Take the harlot women for instance in Revelation 17:3,5 ...'and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast. And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.' ... Is this going to be a literal prostitute riding a literal beast with those names on her forehead? Of course not, this is symbolic, just like the mark of the beast and the seal of God.

Is there any significance to receiving the mark in the forehead or hand? Yes there is, which we can see from the following Old Testament scripture.

Deuteronomy 6:6-8 .....'And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.'

Deuteronomy 11:8,18 .....'Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it. Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.'

What does it mean to bind Gods Words, His law upon our hands and foreheads? God wasn't asking them to literally write them on their hands and heads. He wanted them to keep His Commandments in their minds to stop them from sinning.

Did you know that the front of our brain (forehead) is where our thoughts anddecisions are made?

The hand represents our actions. So if the people had the mark of Gods law in their hands and foreheads, then it meant that they were keeping Gods law in their minds spiritually, through their thoughts and decisions, the way Jesus taught us, and also in their actions.

Hebrews 10:16 .....'This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them.'

God would 'seal' His law in the hearts (minds) of His people, and they would be the one's keeping the Bible ten Commandments and would not be deceived into receiving the mark of the beast.

Isaiah 8:16 .....'Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.'

Remember, Bible prophecy reveals that we would have two groups of people during the end times. One group of people with the seal of God, and the other group with the mark of the beast. In other words, we will have one group who will yield their minds and actions to the beast, and have the beasts mark, and another group that will yield their minds and actions to God and have Gods seal. Or His name spiritually written in their foreheads. To understand this further, we need to find out what the truth is about the name of God. Is it just a set of words, or does it have a deeper meaning to it?

Exodus 34:5-7 .....'And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.'

Do you see the truth about the name of God in the above verses? God proclaimed His Name to Moses on Mount Sinai. But God didn't tell Moses to command people to use certain words for His Name. No, the name that God proclaimed was His CHARACTER! - merciful, gracious, forgiving, longsuffering etc. God reveals that the 'name of the Lord' is His character, Just as Jesus confirmed ... John 17:6 ...'I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.' ... Jesus didn't just go around pronouncing the words of Gods name in the correct way. He displayed and proclaimed Gods character in His life. So now we can see that when it says in Revelation that the one group of people have Gods name in their foreheads, it means that Gods character has become a deep part of their lives, thinking and actions. The same way as the other group of people have given their thoughts and actions to the beast and receive the beasts mark.

As we mentioned earlier, the sea beast of Revelation 13 is the Papal Church of Rome (Roman Catholic Church), and the mark of the beast is the mark of the Roman Catholic Church. Out of interest, let's ask the Roman Catholic Church if they have any kind of "mark" that goes against the law of God.

"Of course the change (from Sabbath to Sunday) was her act .... and the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters." (signed by H.F.Thomas, Chancellor for Cardinal Gibbons, in a letter dated Nov. 11, 1895)

"the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact." (Catholic record of London, Ontario, Sept. 1, 1923)

"Sunday is a time when all Christians discover the Eucharist form that their life is called to have ... the Cardinal stressed how the way in which we celebrate Sunday determines the way in which we live the rest of the week, since it is the mark of Christian identity." (Cardinal O'Malley, Archbishop of Boston, Sanctifying celebration, the family in the Lord’s Day, 1st June 2012)

WOW! Right out of the horses mouth! So if the beast is the Roman Catholic Church, what does she say is her "mark"? Changing the 4th commandment from the seventh day (our Saturday) to Sunday is her MARK! The Roman Catholic Church believe that changing the Sabbath Day from the seventh day to the first is her "MARK" of authority. The Roman Catholic Church is also the little horn power in Daniel that "thinks to change times and laws" (Daniel 7:25). So this fits with Bible prophecy also.

Is Sunday the Mark of the Beast?

There's a very interesting connection that many people miss with this issue. If you read Revelation 13:16-17, you will see that the mark of the beast is connected to "buying and selling". Now something we need to understand is that there is a great spiritual war between Christ and Satan. Satan is the great deceiver, and through his miracles and wonders (Revelation 13:13-14) he manages to DECEIVE vitually the whole world (professing Christians included). And how does he deceive the masses? By counterfeiting God and transforming himself into an "angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14). Satan has a counterfeit for just about everything found in the Word of God. And he has managed to deceive virtually the whole world on one particular point in Gods ten commandments.

Now notice this very carefully. In Revelation 13 we find a certain LAW being enforced. And it is connected to "buying and selling". If you keep this "law" of Satan and receive the mark, then you will be able to "buy and sell". Now do we find anything in Gods law concerning buying and selling, that Satan can counterfeit and deceive the people? Yes! The 4th commandment ...

Genesis 20:8-11 ...'Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.'

So God tells us in the 4th commandment that on the sabbath day, "business transactions" (work) is forbidden. Which means that Gods people are NOT to do any "buying or selling" on the sabbath. So what Satan has done is to introduce a counterfeit sabbath day through the Roman Catholic Church (Sunday), and when the time is right, he will have theSunday law enforced, so that only those who accept the false sabbath can continue to "buy and sell".

Virtually the whole professed Christian world has embraced this false sabbath (Sunday), and they are ripe to be deceived by the evil one into taking the mark of the beast. But Sunday keeping AT THIS MOMENT is not the mark of the beast. It needs to be enforced as a day of rest by civil law in order for it to become the mark of the beast. And this is what the Roman Catholic Church are pushing for right now. But that doesn't mean you can rest easy for the time being. Once you come to the truth, you need to live by it. Otherwise, God may withdraw His Spirit from your life and you will be in danger of becoming entangled in the deceptions of Satan, not having the power to overcome.

Note: Will God's people be safe by just keeping the seventh day sabbath commandment? No. We need to keep all of God's ten commandments, AND the faith of Jesus Christ (Revelation 14:12).

The Sunday Deception Bible Truth about the Mark of the Beast

Sunday - The Perfect Deception

Sunday is the perfect deception for Satan to use against Christians and to cause the world into disobeying God. How? Because the vast majority of Christians throughout the world already regard Sunday as the Sabbath. And those who don't believe in keeping any day as the Sabbath would be happy to go along with Sunday as a day of rest for "health and family" reasons, and for the "better of society", which is exactly what is being pushed now as a reason for keeping Sunday as a day of rest.

Sunday Rest

Recently I had a discussion with a pastor of a local church about the sabbath. He was trying to defend his position with regards to Sunday and I was showing Him from the Bible why we should keep the seventh day sabbath. I also told him of the possibility of a Sunday law being enforced in the near future. Now this pastor is not a Roman Catholic, he is a Protestant, and do you know what he said in regards to a Sunday law? ... "Great! I would welcome a Sunday law, so that we could have one day a week where we can rest. We need a day of rest." ... So as you can see, Christians are open to Sunday being enforced as a day of rest.

And you will notice that those pushing for Sunday laws put forward very little reference to God. The underlying principle behind their reason for enforcing a Sunday law isn't to obey God (because if it was to obey God, then they would have to keep the seventh day as the Sabbath, not the first day, Sunday), but rather for the "better of society" and for "family life" and "health". And the reason that these things are being pursued for a Sunday law is because it reaches all walks of life. Everyone (even those outside the faith) can relate to needing one day off a week for the "better of society" and "health" and "family life".

The reasons for enforcing a Sunday law will be good reasons, but as we know the principle is totally flawed. To start with, we cannot FORCE people to take a rest day every week, and God told us to keep the seventh day (our Saturday) as theSabbath day of rest, not Sunday.

Constantine

We know that the first Sunday law came about through Emperor Constantine on 3rd March 321 AD. And many Christians support what Constantine did and believe that he was a Christian. Yet they do not realise that Constantine was a Pagan, who's so called "conversion" to Christianity was only to receive the support from Christians and to unite Pagans and Christians together. Constantine was a Christian by "name only" but in reality remained a Pagan.

End Time Deception

This is how Satan is going to work in the last days. He is going to take on the guise of being an "angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14) to deceive the masses into following him. But in reality, his work will be that of darkness. It is Satan's aim to get us to disobey God. Why? Because as the Bible states, sin separates us from God ... Isaiah 59:2 ... 'But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.' ... And which commandment is the perfect one to deceive the world into disobeying God? The 4th commandmentconcerning the Sabbath. He has already convinced the majority of the Christian world into disreagarding this precious commandment. But Satan doesn't just deceive the world into totally disreagarding the sabbath commandment, no, he has deceived Christians into thinking that they are actually keeping it on Sunday.

But He won't just stop there. A Sunday law is no good if non-Christians don't abide by it. Which is why through the Papal church and many other Protestant churches he is convincing the world that we need one day off a week for the "better of society". And through the interfaith / ecumenical movement, the many different religions will come together and agree on this needed day off to promote peace and prosperity. And the world is in such a mess now, that even those with no religious ties and no belief in God will end up going along with anything to protect their money and possessions.

I used to wonder how the Sunday law would be accepted by those outside the Christian faith. Now I have no problem in seeing them accept it with open arms. Not only will Satan use "great signs and wonders" (Revelation 13:13-14) to deceive, but he will also use economic pressure to get them to accept ... "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." (Revelation 13:17).

People are so worldly today, that the thought of not being able to "buy or sell" will be enough for them to accept the Sunday law.

Sabbath Keepers Beware

Do not think Sabbath keeper that you are immune to the last deception, because as Revelation 12:17 says, Satan has"gone to make war" with God's remnant church. Satan will bring about such great signs and wonders, deception and economic and physical pressure, that we will need to be ROOTED in Christ Jesus and His Word, and have a DAILYrelationship with Him to be able to get through the time of trouble that is coming ...

Daniel 12:1 ...'And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people:and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.'

"It is Satan's plan to weaken the faith of God's people in the Testimonies. Next follows skepticism in regard to the vital points of our faith, the pillars of our position, then doubt as to the Holy Scriptures, and then the downward march to perdition. When the Testimonies, which were once believed, are doubted and given up, Satan knows the deceived ones will not stop at this; and he redoubles his efforts till he launches them into open rebellion, which becomes incurable and ends in destruction." (E.G.White, 4T 211).

"Satan is . . . constantly pressing in the spurious--to lead away from the truth. The very last deception of Satan will be to make of none effect the testimony of the Spirit of God. "Where there is no vision, the people perish" (Prov. 29:18). Satan will work ingeniously, in different ways and through different agencies, to unsettle the confidence of God's remnant people in the true testimony." (E.G.White, Letter 12, 1890. 1SM 48)

And this is now coming true, as there are many Seventh Day Adventist churches around the world today, that reject the "spirit of prophecy" and refuse to have Sister White quoted or preached in church.

Do you trust in God's Word and the Spirit of Prophecy? ... Revelation 19:10 ...'I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.'

Be on your guard Sabbath Keeper. Study the Word and the Testimonies everyday. Pray everyday. Confess ALL sins. Love the Lord Jesus everyday. Trust in God and He will keep you through the time ahead. The last great deception is about to be complete.

!!Warning to Sabbath Keepers!! Please do not become complacent in your faith, merely waiting for the Sunday law to be enforced. We NEED to have a DAILY relationship with Christ Jesus in order to get through the time of trouble that is coming. Are you living for Christ everyday? Revelation 12:11 ...'And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.' ... These are powerful words and they describe the TRUE people of God. Who are they? They are the ones who trust in the blood of Jesus. They are the ones who, by the word of their testimony, SHOW that their lives were totally devoted to God. They are the ones who would rather give up their lives than compromise their faith, because they love the Lord with all their heart, mind, soul and strength. Sundays Must be a Day of Rest Dedicated to God and Family, Pope Says (June 2012)

"By defending Sunday, one defends human freedom, he said during his weekly general audience in St. Peter's Square June 6 ... Humanity has no future without the family ... Sunday is the day of the Lord and of man, a day which everyone must be able to be free - free for the family and free for God."

The Vatican is really pushing for the Sunday law now and making the all important link with "family", so that it reaches those outside the faith also. And with the world in the state it is, we are getting close to the time when the Sunday law will be embraced by the people of the world in order to help bring peace. Are you getting ready? Sunday to be a Day of Rest in U.S. Town, Harveyville (May 2012)

This happened back in March after a tornado hit the town. Did they designate Sunday as the day of rest partly because of the disaster? Maybe. The spirit of prophecy does tell us that Sunday laws will spring up because of natural disasters.

"It will be declared that men are offending God by the violation of the Sunday sabbath; that this sin has brought calamities which will not cease until Sunday observance shall be strictly enforced." (E.White, The Great Controversy, p.590)

A Community in Brooklyn, U.S.A., to Report Any Restaurants Breaking the Sunday Blue Law (May 2012)

"Department of Consumer Affairs inspectors - deployed after requests from CB1 members - began cracking down on restaurants that serve food and drink outdoors before noon on Sundays in violation of a rarely enforced city blue law that has prohibited the practice since 1971. The Sunday ban was put in place to promise peace and quiet out of respect for restaurant neighbors on what some view as a day of rest, city officials said."

One thing to remember about this. The earth beast in Revelation 13 (America) calls for the people to make the image of the sea beast (Papacy). So America will call for the people of the world to make the image of the Papacy. And what is happening in this situation above? The community leaders are calling for the PEOPLE to make sure the Sunday blue law is enforced within their community. Just a small example of what will become a worldwide issue one day soon.

Lord's Day Observance Society in U.K. Pushing for Sunday to be a day of Worship and Rest (April 2012)

"Today, the organisation - previously known as the Lord's Day Observance Society - under the name of Day One Christian Ministries campaigns for Sunday to be a day of worship and rest; our day of rest is increasingly under threat as retail businesses, sports events and entertainment seek to make Sunday just another day to make money."

It's interesting that they even quote what we Sabbath keepers quote, and that is the fact that God ordained the sabbath day at creation. They just miss the important fact that it was the SEVENTH DAY that God blessed and sanctified. Not the first day of the week.
